Filmmaking

ANIMATION

Distilling complex information to a few key points u.c. can develop animation film for a wide audience appeal while providing knowledge in bite size pieces.

RESEARCHING to inform SCRIPTWRITING

Extensive research is performed to understand the cultures at play and the knowledge each stakeholder group uses in complex environments.

In the above example, to communicate outcomes from a rehabilitation trial, research involved talking with residential aged care staff, residents' family members; the people living with dementia who had undergone rehabilitation in an aged care setting, researchers, clinicians, physiotherapists, dieticians, occupational therapists, geriatricians and speech pathologists.

Then returning to these same people along the way to get their feedback on what was being created to make sure it was capturing their intent. Language, tone and corresponding image combine to deliver a message.

TRAILER MAKING to reach an audience on an emotional level

Unearthing together with stakeholders the most important messages and finding the most influential way to deliver them to persuade the audience.

In the example above, by mediating communicators' positioning, we were able to deliver peer to peer messaging and to encourage behavioural change.  The positioning is constructed from both visual and linguistic perspectives and in this project it was critical to its impact.
